As a stay at home mom of three children, I have found that even though I am generating extra income daily, it helps to know that I can also save money as well. This is what this e-book is about. Getting Prepared To Save

1.) Budget
Everyone should create a budget. Even if you aren’t good with money or don’t know where to begin with starting a budget, many businesses such as H&R Block, offer free financial consulting to help you put a budget together. Knowing where you are spending your money is by far the best way to save. In most cases, people have no idea where their money is really going and once they see it on paper, not only are they surprised but they also decide to change their spending habits.

2.) What Matters to You

Grab a piece of paper and a pen. Make a list of the 10 most important things in your life.
Next to each one, rank them in order of importance using numbers 1 through 10. The
purpose of this exercise is to help you see the things you consider the most and least
important. This will provide you with a visual of why you need to save. Some examples
of things that a person might put on their list are buying a new home or car, a big
vacation, starting a business, or paying off debts.

3.) You MUST Set Goals

Break your goals into short-term, intermediate-term, and long-term. Being able to see
your accomplishments is a great motivator for you to work hard at saving. If you set a
short-term goal of saving for a bigger TV for your family room and reach that goal, you
will be encouraged to keep saving for the intermediate and long-term goals.

4.) Be Realistic

When it comes to saving money, make sure the goals you set for yourself are realistic. If
you set your goals to high and never achieve them, you will become discouraged. If you
earn $50,000 a year, saving $20,000 would be nice but it is very unrealistic. Make your
goals attainable or you will never save.

5.) Flexibility

Once you have set your goal for saving, realize that things can and will change. The
secret is learning ways to be flexible. If you normally save $150 a month, when
something unexpected happens, you may only be able to save $50 that month. This is
fine as long as you focus on getting back on track. When faced with having to change
your goals, be sure that you get back on track immediately. It’s too easy to slip back into
those habits of not saving money.

6.) Have A Plan

Planning is a great way to save. Before you go to the grocery store, make a list and stick
with it. It was very hard for me to do this. Especially when going to places like Wal-Mart.
If considering a vacation, plan everything. Taking a vacation with no set direction will
certainly lead you to impulsive spending.

7.) Patience

Be patient when it comes to saving. This means that you need to accept that it will take
time to save and good planning. Be patient and remember that just because you want
something, do not rush to buy just to satisfy your urge. Instead, wait for sales in order to
get the best price, which in turn will save you money.

8.) Allowance

Do not forget to give yourself an allowance for things you enjoy. Even if on a tight
budget, buy something that you enjoy, which could be as simple as buying a new shirt or
grabbing lunch at your favorite cafĂ©. If you do not allow yourself this small “splurge”,
you could find yourself in the same position as if dieting. Total deprivation leads to
overindulgence.

9.) Break old Habits

Take time to learn the various things that “trigger” your spending. When you are
depressed, lonely, sad, anxious, excited, whatever it may be, do you spend more? Once
you can identify these triggers then you can learn how to control them. As an example, if
you were just laid off from your job, although money is tight, you may have an
overwhelming “need” to spend money. Perhaps you notice that when you are bored, you
head for the shops. Knowing what affects you will help you to discipline yourself to find
other ways of comfort.

10.) Don’t Give up the Good Stuff

A misconception is that while trying to save money you have to deal with sub-par
merchandise, which is untrue. If you love fresh breads and pastries, visit a bakery thrift
store. For your fresh fruits and vegetables, visit your local farmer’s market. Try eBay or
other auction sites to buy top quality merchandise for a huge discount. Watch for
neighborhood garage sales or estate sales and auctions to find items you need. Just
because you are looking for bargains as a way of saving money does not mean you have
to skimp on quality.

11.) Wants vs. Needs

Make sure the thing you want to spend your money on is a “need” and not a “want.”
Sometimes this can seem like a fine gray line but if you stick to the need list, you will
spend a lot less.

The Diversification Trap

A lot of people get excited about the prospect of a new business they are starting. And although it is very exciting and potentially lucrative to start a new business, if you don’t establish success with your current business, you can be setting yourself up for failure. It is not lucrative to be a jack of all trades and a master of none. So how and when do you create another income stream and therefore diversify your income? That depends on several factors.

3.) The third thing is once you have the business builders in place, you have to help those business builders create the same momentum you have and grow your team exponentially. 4) While the above is TRUE, sometimes it pays to listen to caring friends or family
members who know you well. Sometimes we can’t really see ourselves… so you may
not recognize your weaknesses or bad habits. It’s very important that you really know
yourself. Know your weaknesses and strengths.

5) In addition to counselors, I had mentors and coaches. I rounded out my “how to be a
millionaire training” with seminars, reading a lot, testing a lot, applying common sense,
and stepping through my fears. That’s another important point… FEAR is what stops
most of us from even trying. The first step to overcoming your fears is simply facing them, and then doing whatever it is that you fear most ☺

7) If you’re in business, expect to INVEST to grow your business. Keep in my that your business is a business and what I mean by that is it is not a job. With a business you have to put a certain amount of time and money in a business in order to get your desired result. Whereas with a job, you put in a certain amount of hours and you get a paycheck for those amount of hours you work. Here is the cold, hard fact… if earning money were so much easier online than it is offline, then more people would quit their JOBS and migrate online. The Importance of Attraction Marketing

When I first started in network marketing, among the initial things like setting goals and training, I was told that I would have to make a list of my friends and family. There was even a sheet which had a list of professions and things like that to help jog your memory of people you’d want to contact and promote your business to. As time went on, I learned about the three foot rule and prospecting people that were around when I was out and about. The problem with these methods and other methods of marketing like this is that your friends and family may not be interested in building a business or might not have a business mindset. They may join your business just to be loyal to you; however, this does not help you build a steady foundation for your business. Also, you are doing the chasing instead of the people chasing you. With attraction marketing you are drawing people to your business and the people are chasing you and this is a lot more fun.

There are several ways that you can start drawing people to your business. One way is by making sure you have a website that has a lead capture page. If you can, I recommend having a video presentation on your website. This makes your website more personable and there are people that will be able to relate to you. Also, people tend to join the person and not the business per se so that is why it’s important that people see you as a business builder willing to share your success story and teach them to have the same success.

Another thing you want to make sure you have is a system in place. Once people are going to your website, you want to have a simple system that you and your members can use that does about 95% of the work for you. Some of the things the system should have is an auto responder so your prospects can receive updates and bits of information on things happening in the biz and on the importance of joining your biz, custom lead capture pages, video presentations, trainings that go over the business and helps your members learn how to effectively market the business.

Now that you have created a system that is simple to use, you want to be able to draw people to your website and through your system. From then on if your system is effective, your main goal after they go through the system is to provide a personal touch by contacting those people. This is the fun part about attracting people to your website because you already know that they are interested in what you have to offer so you don’t have to feel the pressure that you will be rejected.

Creating a blog is a great way of getting information out about your business and adds a personal touch to whatever you are promoting. You can write about your business experiences and network with people by passing along information that can help others successfully build a home business. This is also an initial way of branding yourself online. You can present yourself in such a way online that assures people that you and/or your team have the knowledge and experience to help them be successful.

You can also promote your business by going on social networks. Social networks are a great way to meet like minded individuals. You can try to use social networks like MySpace and Facebook, however, when it comes to business there are several business social networking sites that you can join for free. These business networks are very good because the people you meet are already in business or have had a business in the past and are open to other opportunities.

The Benefits of Direct Sales

I have been involved in various programs within a 10 year span and have made some money from these different business opportunities, however, nothing has compared to what I have earned with my direct sales opportunity. In an article I read about direct sales, there has been a growing increase in people using direct sales to generate income because of how the economy has been and because of the fact that many people have lost their jobs. Direct Sales has provided them with an instant income. I understand where they are coming from because about a year ago, I was doing well with my network marketing business. I was earning about $500-$1,000 a month. I was able to move my family out of a three bedroom apartment into a 5 bedroom house based on the extra income that was coming in. Unfortunately, the network marketing company that I was involved in changed its compensation plan and as a result, my income started to decrease. I had to find something that could fill the void. And that is what I found in more with my direct sales company. Now, I have earned over $1,500 in three months! Something that took me a year to make with my other network marketing company. You may be asking “how is that possible?” Well here are some of the reasons why myself and more and more people are becoming apart of a $30 billion dollar industry.

1.) You get paid daily.
With most mlm companies you get paid either monthly or weekly based on what you did the previous month or week. With direct sales, you get paid instantly because it is based on the product or service you are selling at that time. So the payments you receive are instantaneous. I can’t tell what a life saver this has been for me when an unexpected expense has come up, I don’t have to worry about not having enough to cover it because I have payments coming in on a daily basis.

2.) No Autoships
Paying a monthly fee for your product is a requirement most of the time when you’re involved in an mlm. And unfortunately that fee can be $100-$200 a month. This can be difficult to manage in this day and age. With direct sales having a monthly autoship expense is not a requirement for you to make money. Because you are considered a reseller of the products the company provides, you have an inventory of products that you have the rights to sell. With my business, I pay a one-time fee for the resell rights of the product and so from that moment on, I own the rights to sell the products over and over again. Also, I only pay $10 a month and this provides me with several tools I use to build my business. These include lead capture pages, business cards, flyers, banners, etc.


3.) You keep all of the profits

Because you have a percentage that has to go to the company and a percentage that goes to you sponsor and a percentage that has to go to the cost of producing and shipping your product, you only get to keep a percentage of the profits in your mlm. With direct sales, you keep 100% of the profits. With my business, for example because our products are all downloadable, I don’t have to incur any shipping costs.


4.) Leverage your income

I still enjoy mlm in the sense the mlm’s that I have had the privilege of being involved in provide great products that I enjoy using on a regular basis. What’s great about direct sales is that it can provide you with an additional income stream or help fund your primary business. You can then feel free to enjoy more of the product and I find that I use my direct sales opportunity to not only supplement the household income but to leverage some of the income to fund whatever marketing tools I need for my health and wellness business.

5.) Get paid to infinity

With a direct sales business, there is no limit to the amount of income you can make because your income is not contingent on the fact of how big you downline is. You put in 100% of the work, you get 100% of the profits. Now, you may be asking “what about teamwork?” Just because you work for yourself, does not mean you work by yourself in my business. How Balance Being A Stay at home Parent While Building a Home Based Business

A lot of people think that stay at home parents have a lot more time to run a business and their household, however, we all have 24 hrs. in a day and with being a stay at home parent myself, I realize that that time is split up between cooking, cleaning, taking care of the kids, being a chauffer and so much more. That is why I have included several keys that have helped and can help you to spend your 24hrs more efficiently.

1.) Create a Schedule

Because there is a lot of work that needs to get done on a daily basis, creating a schedule can help you sort out and prioritize so you don’t get overwhelmed. You can set a schedule and prioritize your tasks based on the level of importance of each task. That way, you won’t forget anything and you’ll feel like you have accomplished what you needed to accomplish for the day. For example, if you know that you have to do the laundry, go to a play date, make follow up calls and send out an email blast, you can set your set a time frame for each thing based on its level of importance. So, you might schedule the play date in the morning, do the laundry after that, make your follow up calls in the afternoon and then send out your email blast.

2.) Delegate Responsibility – It’s ok. Don’t feel guilty 

Sometimes as parents, we feel like we can do it all and don’t feel right with passing some of that responsibility on to others. But one of the great things about having a home based business is the fact that most (if it’s a business that is focused on the success of it’s members) have the tools and a team in place so you don’t have to do it all yourself. The fact is, also, that there are some things that you are just good at and some things its going to be someone else’s expertise. Why not get the people who can thrive in that area of your business to do those tasks. As a result, your business will be more successful because you don’t have to split yourself in so many directions. One great tool to have is a simple to use system that helps you by doing a good percentage of the work. The business I have currently, for example, has a phenomenal system in place that does about 95% of the work. This as you may already suspect frees up a lot of my time and I pretty much spend the time I have doing follow up. This has helped me tremendously and allows me to spend a lot more time with my kids.

3.) Set your own hours

Building a business can take up a lot of your time and in the initial stages, it can be tempting to spend your days, nights and weekends making sure your business is getting off to a great start and be successful in the long run. However, that is also a quick way to burn out fast. That is why it’s important to set your own hours. Just because you work from home doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t have some structure when it comes to when you do business. For example, I set my hours around my kids schedule so I make sure that my work gets done between certain hours and the rest of the time I spend with my kids or doing something that recharges my batteries because there is no greater gift you can give to your kids and your prospects than someone who is physically and emotionally recharged. Now one of the great things about these hours I set for myself is that they are flexible so I need to take an important phone call or go on an important web casts, then I make arrangements. The important thing is that you set boundaries so that your family and business life don’t interfere with each other.

How Balance Being A Stay at home Parent While Building a Home Based Business

A lot of people think that stay at home parents have a lot more time to run a business and their household, however, we all have 24 hrs. in a day and with being a stay at home parent myself, I realize that that time is split up between cooking, cleaning, taking care of the kids, being a chauffer and so much more. That is why I have included several keys that have helped and can help you to spend your 24hrs more efficiently.

1.) Create a Schedule

Because there is a lot of work that needs to get done on a daily basis, creating a schedule can help you sort out and prioritize so you don’t get overwhelmed. You can set a schedule and prioritize your tasks based on the level of importance of each task. That way, you won’t forget anything and you’ll feel like you have accomplished what you needed to accomplish for the day. For example, if you know that you have to do the laundry, go to a play date, make follow up calls and send out an email blast, you can set your set a time frame for each thing based on its level of importance. So, you might schedule the play date in the morning, do the laundry after that, make your follow up calls in the afternoon and then send out your email blast.

2.) Delegate Responsibility – It’s ok. Don’t feel guilty 

Sometimes as parents, we feel like we can do it all and don’t feel right with passing some of that responsibility on to others. But one of the great things about having a home based business is the fact that most (if it’s a business that is focused on the success of it’s members) have the tools and a team in place so you don’t have to do it all yourself. The fact is, also, that there are some things that you are just good at and some things its going to be someone else’s expertise. Why not get the people who can thrive in that area of your business to do those tasks. As a result, your business will be more successful because you don’t have to split yourself in so many directions. One great tool to have is a simple to use system that helps you by doing a good percentage of the work. The business I have currently, for example, has a phenomenal system in place that does about 95% of the work. This as you may already suspect frees up a lot of my time and I pretty much spend the time I have doing follow up. This has helped me tremendously and allows me to spend a lot more time with my kids.

3.) Set your own hours

Building a business can take up a lot of your time and in the initial stages, it can be tempting to spend your days, nights and weekends making sure your business is getting off to a great start and be successful in the long run. However, that is also a quick way to burn out fast. That is why it’s important to set your own hours. Just because you work from home doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t have some structure when it comes to when you do business. For example, I set my hours around my kids schedule so I make sure that my work gets done between certain hours and the rest of the time I spend with my kids or doing something that recharges my batteries because there is no greater gift you can give to your kids and your prospects than someone who is physically and emotionally recharged. Now one of the great things about these hours I set for myself is that they are flexible so I need to take an important phone call or go on an important web casts, then I make arrangements. The important thing is that you set boundaries so that your family and business life don’t interfere with each other.

What is the Perfect Prospect and How to Spot Them

I read this article on Digg and it talked about what is the perfect prospect. Every network marketer would like to know what are the perfect prospects because it would make it that much easier to attract them to our businesses.

So who exactly is the perfect or ideal mlm prospect?

A lot of people think its stay at home moms or dads or middle aged males. Others believe it’s the baby boomers or 20 somethings. The truth is, however, there is really no ideal prospect. I wish there was because it would make building a business a lot easier.

The fact is is that old, people, young people, people of a different race, men and women all have found success in working from home. And so that is reason why they are not easy to spot. That is why you have to talk to as many people as possible to find them. I have seen many people who make a 6 figure income and they are not any different from anyone else. The only difference between them and the people who don’t succeed at network marketing is hard work.

I have fallen into that trap myself where I had a prospect that seemed excited and extraverted but fizzled out of the business before they started. I came to realize that there really is no difference between someone who is out going and someone is more reserved.

There is also no age or skill set to look out for determine whether or not that person is a bad or good prospect. So you must be asking what is the solution? The solution is to talk to as many people as possible in the shortest amount of time. Your next question is probably how do you go about doing that? Two important things to do is to have a system in place that will help you do most of the work and help your future members to plug into the system and help them generate income. The second thing is to stay persistent and consistent. Nothing kick starts momentum like continuous action. So get started because you never know if the next person you talk to is going to be a dud or a person takes off in your business and makes a hundred thousand dollars!

Progress with EZWealth

I had a great weekend with my EZWealth Business. This weekend was a perfect example of how being persistent and consistent really pays off. I have been marketing EZWealth for about 2 months now and have received signups and tour takers but just like any business, things can slow down and that is a true testament to whether or not you stay on course or join another program. I'm glad I stayed persistent because I was rewarded for my efforts. I had a couple of signups ( three to be exact ) and it truly helped because I had some unexpected bills that came up and in this day and age, it can be difficult to deal with unexpected charges but because of the signups I had, I didn't have to worry. The best part was that I didn't have to wait for the end of the week or the middle of the month to receive payment for my efforts. I was able to get paid that day! Because I am able to get 100% of the profits daily and I'm able to choose how I get paid, the money went directly into my account.

This is not the first time that this has happened and it has not only helped me to pay the bills but has also allowed me to leverage myself into other businesses. I was recently introduced to a health and wellness company and although I thought I would never get into another mlm, I liked the product and most importantly the system that they have in place. The system they provide was the motivating factor to decide to get involved because this is a somewhat automated system that helps get at least 2-3 signups a month. Plus, I realized that because I already have a business that allows me to get paid today, I can afford to have additional income streams that I can build long term residual income with.

Pyramid Schemes

What exactly is a pyramid? I hear that phrase being thrown around from time to time and I wonder if those people really know what pyramid means. If they did, I think that when they are presented with a legitimate business, they would be able to take a serious look before screaming scam. So, I’m here to help by telling you that when looking for a business, there are several factors to consider. First things first, the definition of a pyramid is a business where only the top person gets paid and the people below the top person does not despite how hard they work at a business. So, you need to do is get a good idea of how the compensation plan works. If you are putting a lot of time and money into a business, you want to know that you are getting financial benefits you deserve in return. Preferably 100% in return—but that’s just me  From my experience some compensation plans can be more confusing than have the ability to help me reach my financial goals so this is one of the major things I consider before getting involved in a business.

The next thing to consider is does the business have a product or service. You may hear sometimes of a business that says that you can get paid a ton of money over night without having a product. The way they say you get paid is by everyone passing money on to the next person and the next and so on and so forth. This is what’s called a gifting program and I can tell you from experience that mathematically they don’t work. What happens is eventually this particular program becomes saturated with people and the money runs out. Unfortunately when this happens the last people that join, do not get paid. It is very important that a business have a product that is useful and beneficial to the members involved.

The third thing to consider what type of system does the business have to help its members promote? I think this is THE most important thing because a business can have a great compensation plan and products but if there is no way to help you promote it, then it becomes a really expensive hobby. When I was involved in MLM, I was spending on average anywhere from $50-$200 a month so I definitely wanted to have a system in place so that when I joined I can be able to draw traffic to my website. As a result, I was able to make money before my next autoship. I also wanted something that is duplicatible so that I and the people that sign up with me can follow what other successful people have done.

I believe that when you are looking for a business, if you consider these criteria before joining, you’ll have a much better chance of getting started in a legitimate opportunity that you can be successful in instead of falling for a pyramid scheme. Its what I use whenever I consider a business and because of it, I am now in a business that allows me to get paid daily, has products that are beneficial to building my business and a system that has helped me to earn on average $100 a day. Autoships vs. Resell Rights

It has always been the tradition of an mlm to require of its members to invest monthly in the product or service of that business. And although the products of many business opportunities online are beneficial to its consumers and members, in this day and age, it can be expensive especially if you are spending $50-$200 a month or even $10 a month. Over time, the amount of money that you spend in comparison to what you make can cause financial strain to that business builder and ultimately cause them to quit. Having the resell rights to your product can be the solution to helping you reach your financial goals.

Another reason is because the product is a perishable item, you also have a limited supply of the product so you and only you can use this product or else you risk running out of it before the next shipment. Don’t get me wrong, I have a product that gives me great health benefits as I’m sure your product gives you benefits as well. The great thing is that having another business that can give you an unlimited supply of the product and unlimited income, can help you with paying for your other product. Another benefit of having the resell rights to your product is storage and shipping issues. Also, I know that with most companies, you don’t have to worry about storing and shipping the product because that is one of the things you pay for when you sign up for a business. However, this can be a double edge sword because the shipping cost is tacked on to the cost of the product month after month. When you purchase the resell rights to a product, it is usually a product that is downloadable so you don’t have to worry at all about storing and shipping cost.

When you have the rights to your product or service, you pay for it one time and you have an unlimited supply of the product to do what you choose with it. Some examples are you can sell the product for a price that you set, you can use it as a promotional tool and offer it for free or samples of it for free so they can see the benefits of the product and eventually want to purchase the full product. You can also help people make money by offering them the opportunity to create their own business center by purchasing the resell rights from you for the same fee that you got it for. The only difference is that you are getting the fee now and if you have a lot of people who want to have the same thing you have, that can be several payments coming in on a regular basis. The choice is yours and as you can see this type of business will give you the flexibility you need and want when trying to earn extra income online.

I know when people hear making money online ez they think that it could be some type of scam or gifting program. I mean, I thought the same way when I first saw this business but then I had a chance to go through the video presentation on the website and I realized that there are certain things that I want in a business.

The first thing is that it has to have a product or service. The business that I have, which is called EZWealth Solutions, has several tools and software that the average business owner, network marketer or affiliate can use to help them be successful and draw traffic to their website. In addtion to having a product or service, you want it to be affordable as well especially in this day and age.
