The Importance of Attraction Marketing

When I first started in network marketing, among the initial things like setting goals and training, I was told that I would have to make a list of my friends and family. There was even a sheet which had a list of professions and things like that to help jog your memory of people you’d want to contact and promote your business to. As time went on, I learned about the three foot rule and prospecting people that were around when I was out and about. The problem with these methods and other methods of marketing like this is that your friends and family may not be interested in building a business or might not have a business mindset. They may join your business just to be loyal to you; however, this does not help you build a steady foundation for your business. Also, you are doing the chasing instead of the people chasing you. With attraction marketing you are drawing people to your business and the people are chasing you and this is a lot more fun.

There are several ways that you can start drawing people to your business. One way is by making sure you have a website that has a lead capture page. If you can, I recommend having a video presentation on your website. This makes your website more personable and there are people that will be able to relate to you. Also, people tend to join the person and not the business per se so that is why it’s important that people see you as a business builder willing to share your success story and teach them to have the same success.

Another thing you want to make sure you have is a system in place. Once people are going to your website, you want to have a simple system that you and your members can use that does about 95% of the work for you. Some of the things the system should have is an auto responder so your prospects can receive updates and bits of information on things happening in the biz and on the importance of joining your biz, custom lead capture pages, video presentations, trainings that go over the business and helps your members learn how to effectively market the business.

Now that you have created a system that is simple to use, you want to be able to draw people to your website and through your system. From then on if your system is effective, your main goal after they go through the system is to provide a personal touch by contacting those people. This is the fun part about attracting people to your website because you already know that they are interested in what you have to offer so you don’t have to feel the pressure that you will be rejected.

One way of drawing people to your website is by placing ads. There are several places online that you can use to place ads regarding your business, such as, credit based safelists, ezines, solo-ad websites, etc. If you put in searches online things such as these, you will find several websites that can provide you with access to place ads for little to no cost. Some of these places, you can not only place ads but banners as well. Banner ads are great because you can place banners on several websites all over the internet.

Creating a blog is a great way of getting information out about your business and adds a personal touch to whatever you are promoting. You can write about your business experiences and network with people by passing along information that can help others successfully build a home business. This is also an initial way of branding yourself online. You can present yourself in such a way online that assures people that you and/or your team have the knowledge and experience to help them be successful.

You can also promote your business by going on social networks. Social networks are a great way to meet like minded individuals. You can try to use social networks like MySpace and Facebook, however, when it comes to business there are several business social networking sites that you can join for free. These business networks are very good because the people you meet are already in business or have had a business in the past and are open to other opportunities.

The Benefits of Direct Sales

I have been involved in various programs within a 10 year span and have made some money from these different business opportunities, however, nothing has compared to what I have earned with my direct sales opportunity. In an article I read about direct sales, there has been a growing increase in people using direct sales to generate income because of how the economy has been and because of the fact that many people have lost their jobs. Direct Sales has provided them with an instant income. I understand where they are coming from because about a year ago, I was doing well with my network marketing business. I was earning about $500-$1,000 a month. I was able to move my family out of a three bedroom apartment into a 5 bedroom house based on the extra income that was coming in. Unfortunately, the network marketing company that I was involved in changed its compensation plan and as a result, my income started to decrease. I had to find something that could fill the void. And that is what I found in more with my direct sales company. Now, I have earned over $1,500 in three months! Something that took me a year to make with my other network marketing company. You may be asking “how is that possible?” Well here are some of the reasons why myself and more and more people are becoming apart of a $30 billion dollar industry.

1.) You get paid daily.
With most mlm companies you get paid either monthly or weekly based on what you did the previous month or week. With direct sales, you get paid instantly because it is based on the product or service you are selling at that time. So the payments you receive are instantaneous. I can’t tell what a life saver this has been for me when an unexpected expense has come up, I don’t have to worry about not having enough to cover it because I have payments coming in on a daily basis.

2.) No Autoships
Paying a monthly fee for your product is a requirement most of the time when you’re involved in an mlm. And unfortunately that fee can be $100-$200 a month. This can be difficult to manage in this day and age. With direct sales having a monthly autoship expense is not a requirement for you to make money. Because you are considered a reseller of the products the company provides, you have an inventory of products that you have the rights to sell. With my business, I pay a one-time fee for the resell rights of the product and so from that moment on, I own the rights to sell the products over and over again. Also, I only pay $10 a month and this provides me with several tools I use to build my business. These include lead capture pages, business cards, flyers, banners, etc.


3.) You keep all of the profits

Because you have a percentage that has to go to the company and a percentage that goes to you sponsor and a percentage that has to go to the cost of producing and shipping your product, you only get to keep a percentage of the profits in your mlm. With direct sales, you keep 100% of the profits. With my business, for example because our products are all downloadable, I don’t have to incur any shipping costs.


4.) Leverage your income

I still enjoy mlm in the sense the mlm’s that I have had the privilege of being involved in provide great products that I enjoy using on a regular basis. What’s great about direct sales is that it can provide you with an additional income stream or help fund your primary business. You can then feel free to enjoy more of the product and I find that I use my direct sales opportunity to not only supplement the household income but to leverage some of the income to fund whatever marketing tools I need for my health and wellness business.

5.) Get paid to infinity

With a direct sales business, there is no limit to the amount of income you can make because your income is not contingent on the fact of how big you downline is. You put in 100% of the work, you get 100% of the profits. Now, you may be asking “what about teamwork?” Just because you work for yourself, does not mean you work by yourself in my business.
